Your Questions About Acupuncture Answered
Does Acupuncture hurt?
Everybody perceives pain differently, it depends on how our brain is wired and although it is not completely necessary for a treatment it does enhance the healing effects immensely because of the internal change it makes. Speak to Sarah if you are unsure, she is always happy accommodate.
What should I expect?
A relaxing, relieving 70-90 minute (depending on your case) treatment which will involve physical assessment/correction, the checking and draining of your stomach, liver, large intestine, ICV and Houston, cranial sacral therapy, massage, any relevant nutritional talk (please feel free to ask questions) and MET (muscular endurance technique) when necessary.
Will I feel relief after one session?
Yes, Sarah doesn't let you leave otherwise.
How many sessions will I need?
As soon as you enter the door we start a partnership, one where both parties agree to do what is best to enable the body to heal as quickly as possible. Physical pain is the easiest to change (depending on the depth and the length of time you've had the condition), internal can take longer. Sarah will start to make the change in the body while also balancing it, giving advice when deemed necessary but ultimately it is your decision where you would like to take your wellbeing.
